Pre-Trip Blog!!

Hello Pacific Northwest Coast to Cascades! This is Marissa and Brett here on our first offical blog of the trip! We are so excited to meet all of you and for our upcoming trip. We had an unreal time on our first trip, and can’t wait for all of you to experience all the incredible aspects of the PNW. Here is little about us:

Marissa- Hey Hey! I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and currently am traveling around the world leading outdoor adventure and education trips for youth! I enjoy any outdoor activity including running, rafting, backpacking and camping. I also love reading, playing the guitar and peanut butter cups. This trip is going to be so fun! I’m very excited to meet everyone and for all the adventures ahead!

Brett- Hey! Hey! It’s Brett! I’m graduating from the University of Georgia in the fall with plans to go to graduate school to become a therapist. Outside of the classroom, I am a huge sports fan (go dawgs and Chicago teams) and I try and spend as much time as possible outdoors. I am an avid runner and I love spending my weekends camping in the mountains, backpacking, or whitewater rafting. I’m so excited to experience the magic that comes with a bold earth trip! Looking forward to meeting you 🙂

Parent drop off and student meet up: There will be photos attached to the blog that will include where we will be meeting all the students arriving on flights and the parents drop off. We will be stationed in the middle of baggage claim, tucked near the bathrooms. Students arriving by plane, please follow the signs down to baggage claim and come find Brett and Marissa there. Students who are getting dropped off by parents, it’s easiest to park and follow the signs over to baggage claim. Students who are flying as unaccompanied minors will be met by one of their trip leaders at their gate. Remember to wear your Bold Earth t-shirt!

An additional Bold Earth trip leader, Casey, will be joining us for the first part of our adventure. Marissa had a bad head injury on one of the last days of our previous trip, so Casey will be there to support while Marissa takes the time the next few days to heal.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any pre-trip questions. We can’t wait for the many adventures and fun days ahead all throughout the PNW!

Best,

Marissa and Brett
