Hello future bold earthlings and parents! Connor Maddie and I are super excited to meet you soon. Before you hop on your flights to Vegas we’ll give you a little info about us
Mo (me): I am originally from North Carolina and went to NC State to study wildlife sciences. After graduation, I worked as a field biologist and a backpacking guide for 2 years in various places, from Yosemite National Park in California to the tundra of Alaska. I moved to Vermont (my current stomping grounds) to work as a backpacking guide, taking youth on multiple week-long backpacking and camping expeditions. I fell in love with the tiny state and has lived there for 2 years, working in a school as a behavioral interventionist. In my free time I enjoy looking at birds, skiing, rock-climbing, and backpacking. I can’t wait to explore with all of you soon!
Madi: Madi is from the Adirondack Mountains of New York. She found her passion for connecting with others in the outdoors through Northern Vermont University, where she studied Outdoor Education, Leadership, and Tourism. Madison enjoys anything to do with being outside, most notably backpacking, mountain biking, ice climbing, and skiing. She is finishing her bachelors degree at Paul Smiths College. Madi is so excited to meet you all soon!
Connor: Connor, hailing from the great state of Massachusetts, has spent the past four years pursuing his passion for Exercise Science at Norwich University, nestled in the beautiful hills of Vermont. A former Bold Earth camper himself, Connor’s love for the great outdoors has led him to return to the program time and time again, eager to share his boundless enthusiasm with fellow adventurers. Last summer, Connor found himself embarking on one of his favorite spontaneous outdoor adventures to date, leaping into a frigid New Hampshire river armed with nothing but a small tube, and gleefully floating through the rapids with newfound friends. Connor is a certified PADI divemaster, guitarist (somewhat), and avid fitness enthusiast. In addition to his love of all things outdoor recreation, Connor is a certified lifeguard and has been trained as a Wilderness First Responder. It’s no wonder that Connor is returning to the program for his third season. He can’t wait to meet everyone soon!
