Day 6 started off by leaving the campsite of Yosemite to Santa Cruz. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive, but the group had many stops including lunch, laundry, and grocery shopping. We stopped for lunch at a park near a lake. Dante was taking in the sun on the hill. Roman and Reuben went in the visitor center and completed a challenge. The challenge resulted in them having a small coloring book and a slap bracelet. On the car ride back Avni, Ellie, Alex, Aanya were enjoying the music. There were throwbacks, kids songs, and even some British songs. In the front of the car Tensae was helping Reuben with the coloring book that he had won. When arriving at the laundry mat, we made phone calls home. Everyone enjoyed their time on the phone especially Nate and Isabella, who talked to their mom, dad, and grandma. After that everyone went to the grocery store. People were split into crews to get their meal plans ready. When grocery shopping was done everyone began loading up the trailer in a timely manner in order to receive a prize. The prize was everyone gets a bite of whip cream from a game. Everyone had to slap their arm and eat their whip cream. Only David was able to successfully complete the challenge. Finally we went back in the car and found Alana writing post cards to the campsite. We got to the campsite and set up tents and sleeping bags. Then we went to the beach to roast hot dogs. Henry really appreciated the sunset because the view was really nice. It was a pretty chill day.
